Custom Massage
Custom massage fuses integrative techniques into the massage session. This allows the therapist to use a more holistic approach to address your body's specific needs. With any trauma, recovery or overuse, the body gets misaligned; each technique facilitates a specific need. Some techniques aid in repair of tissue, others release compensation patterns, while some increase range of motion and flexibility. A custom massage varies techniques through out the session to provide optimal massage and bodywork therapy.
Deep Tissue MassageDeep Tissue Massage is similar in style to Swedish massage. Yet, as the name implies, deeper pressure is used. Deep tissue focuses on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons, and ligaments, releasing chronic muscle tension. Chronic muscle tension can bind down the fascia (the connective layer surrounding muscles, bones and joints). This tension acts like a knot in the musculature system, causing pain and postural distortion, impacting how we feel and move through life. Deep Tissue is used to release knots, break up adhesions, and smooth out muscle fibers!
Oncology MassageOncology massage is the modification of existing massage therapy techniques in order to safely work with complications of cancer and cancer treatment; as well as recovery from cancer. Through a 32 hour NCBTMB approved provider continuing education course, I gained a Certification in Oncology Massage, Caring for Clients with Cancer. I gained an informed understanding of cancer, how it impacts the body, the side effects of treatment and how to safely provide a therapeutic massage by modifying and adapting massage techniques to meet each client's needs and considerations.

Swedish MassageThe perfect massage for ultimate relaxation! The Swedish Massage is the most popular type of massage due to the use of long, flowing, soothing massage strokes. These relaxing stokes blended with the kneading sensation of petrissage allows the body to relax, the mind quiets and the soul replenishes. Swedish massage is also exceptionally beneficial for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension. It is a full body effect towards relaxation.
Sports MassageAthletes of all kind, can benefit from a Sports Massage. This modality focuses on the overused and strained muscles brought on by an active lifestyle. Whether you are a weekend warrior, endurance athlete or outdoor professional, Sports Massage can help you reach your goals. It can be beneficial pre, inter and post event, as well as restorative from training and injury. Pin and stretch techniques, passive and active range of motion (ROM), and stretching are common forms of manual manipulation done in a Sports Massage. Take time for your body!
Reflexology SessionThis 45min session focuses on using the body's natural energy zones and reflex points located in the feet, to affect the corresponding body part, organ or system. Reflexology is an art and a science. It uses the feet as the gateway to activating the body's natural energy zones and healing capabilities. Through massage and pressure point, the therapist works these zones stimulating the corresponding muscles, organs or body system creating a very holistic approach to wellness. Reflexology is also extremely relaxing and a great way to calm an over stimulated nervous system.

Orthopedic Assessment |
Have you ever felt bound down and constricted within your own body? Myo-fascial Release (MFR) is used to release these fascial restrictions. Through direct and indirect sustained pressure, MFR affects the body 3 dimensionally, by releasing collagen adhesions, increasing the body's natural viscosity (i.e. ground substance) and reminding the muscle fibers of their ability to stretch and recoil. MFR is beneficial for conditions entrapping nerves and blood flow, chronic pain and overused muscle groups. Myo-fascial Release decreases pain and improves function, returning your body to a natural and fluid state.

Through cycles of pressure and release, Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT) is used to isolate the point of musculature pain. This pain is caused by a trigger point, a miscommunication between bodily systems. The wiring between the brain, nerve and muscle have a kink causing musculature pain referrals. Trigger point massage releases constricted areas, alleviating pain and increasing range of motion. Regular trigger point therapy helps to naturally manage pain and stress from chronic injuries, repetitive motion and postural imbalances.
